Foxboro Art Assn Fall Show

For the first two weekends in October, the Gallery exhibited the annual Fall Members Show of the Foxboro Art Association. 111 pieces of terrific art by 56 members of the Art Association were displayed in 4 different media and ribbons were awarded in each category by guest judge Carole Berren.  The "Best in Show" ribbon was awarded to  Donna MacLure or her watercolor titled "Tangled", as pictured below.

Before the ribbons were awarded, however -- during the first weekend -- the public was invited to vote for their favorite piece (the "People's Choice" award). And, in all, 194 votes were cast by members of the public. The decisive choice was artist Laura Zanghetti for her painting titled "Shoe Shopping" (pictured below). The second weekend was capped with a Saturday afternoon reception as crowds of art lovers streamed through the gallery. At the end of the second weekend, the show comes down to be replaced by the returning anchor artists plus two guest artists for the 3d weekend in October, Pat Buckley and Marjorie Sardella.
