Pictured above are gorgeous watercolor paintings by the three upcoming guest artists for this Labor Day weekend: from top to bottom, Margaret DeVito's city scene, Kris Occhino's "Heaven's Gate", and Roberta Remieres' "Roses". If you are in the neighborhood this weekend, drop by and treat yourself to a visual feast and talk to these artists in person. And just in case you are wondering, Kenny Chesney has left the building.

Andreoni, Crawford & Brockert
Pictured above are Ava Andreoni and Jerry Crawford, two of the intrepid guest artists at the gallery during the classic Kenny Chesney-Hurricane Irene weekend tour. Ava Andreoni features large, colorful oil paintings, while Jerry Crawford specializes in marvelous nature photography, some of which can be seen as a backdrop in the above photograph. (You can enlarge the photo by clicking on it.) Jason Brockert, is the 3rd guest artist, is returning for a second straight weekend. The gallery will likely be closed on Sunday in deference to Irene.

Featured Artists Aug. 19-21
The featured artists this weekend are painters Claire Alty, Jason Brockert, and Rick Cardoza. Examples of their work are pictured above. Top to Bottom, Jason Brockert's "Experimental Landscape", Claire Alty's "Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, N.S." and Rick Cardoza's "Time To Shine". Meet these wonderful artists in person this weekend at the Artists Studio & Gallery and look over their shoulder, and the shoulders of other painters throughout Patriot Place this Saturday afternoon, when many local artists will be painting outside as part of the "Paintout at Patriot Place". It should be quite a spectacle, inside and out!

Honey, Healey & Doucette Aug. 5-7
Pictured above is one of many wilderness paintings by Katherine Honey, a North Attleboro artist, who was inspired by the Ken Burns television series to try to capture the beauty of our National Parks. This painting of the Grand Tetons is one such example. Come and see the rest of her beautiful American wilderness paintings. Katherine joins returning featured artists Marilyn Healey and Brenda Doucette, both of whom had such a good time last weekend that they agreed to return for a second straight weekend. If you get a chance, drop by this weekend and say hello. And don't forget, we are inviting all artists to participate in a massive "Paintout at Patriot Place" Saturday afternoon, Aug. 20.

The Art Gallery is in the News!
The Art Gallery at Patriot Place is in the news! Evie Malm wrote a wonderful article about the gallery for the Foxboro Reporter which was then picked up by the Attleboro Sun Chronicle. Evie also took the accompanying photos that I've reposted here on our blog along with their captions.
