Open New Years

In deference to the Winter Classic, the Gallery will be open during the day, Thursday, 12-4 on New Yer's Eve, and Friday, New Year's Day, 11-9. We will also be open as usual Saturday 1-9 and Sunday 12-6. Drop by and visit us as we celebrate another year at Patriot Place.

Christmas Weekend

The Gallery will be closed on Christmas Day but will reopen the next day, Saturday, and resume its regular hours. And the same Guest Artists will be back: Dino and the Chain Saw Guy, Wayne DeMoranville. It will be a great display. So if you're not doing anything this weekend, c'mon by.

Chain Saw Man

Wayne DeMoranville, who is famous for sculpting wood with a chain saw, will be our Guest Artist for the weekend of August 18-20 (see photo). Also returning will be the incomparable (and affordable) Dino. If you are looking for a special Christmas present, check us out. It will be cold, but sunny. C'mon down!

Brian Arrone & Dino

Guest Artists for the weekend of Dec. 11-13 are Brian Arrone, a terrific painter of landscapes and portraits and, once again, the incomparable Dino, a fine painter with environmental themes. Come see their wares during our last "heat wave" of 2015 . And don't forget to view the works of our other anchor artists. Something may catch your eye for the perfect holiday present!

Tino & Dino

Photographer Cindy Tino and painter Johnathan DiNapoli ("Dino") will be the Guest Artists for the weekend of Dec. 4-6. Cindy will be exhibiting her terrific photos for the first time. And Dino will be once again showing off his fabulous, pain-staking creations of the environment and mystical mandalas.

Black Friday Sale

The Art Gallery is offering a 20% discount on your purchase(s) on Black Friday only. There is plenty to choose from -- unique gifts small or large for that someone who is hard to shop for. Visit guest artists Stacey David and Dianne Quigley plus 7 other terrific artists the day after Thanksgiving from 1-9 pm and see what wonderful bargains are available in the visual arts. The weekends of Nov. 20-22 and 27-29 will feature the art of Stacey David and Dianne Quigley. And we plan to be open at 1 pm on Black Friday. C'mon down and view the paintings of these two Guest Artists along with the art of the "Magnificent Seven" regulars -- all of them local artists proud to be exhibiting at Patriot Place.

Free Demo this Wednesday at the Boyden Library

Anthony Visco will be doing a watercolor demonstration at the November 18th meeting of the Foxboro Art Association at the Boyden Library in Foxboro. Free and open to the public. The meeting starts at 7pm. Hope to see you there. www.panthonyvisco.com

Marilyn Healy & Rex Merrill

The weekend of Nov. 13-15 will feature Guest Artists painter Marilyn Healy and photographer Rex Merrill. Their work, plus those of our 7 anchor artists, provide art lovers with opportunities to buy holiday gifts in all different price ranges. Come by and take a look. Only 6 weeks until Christmas!

Jose Perez & Rex Merrill

Guest Artists Jose Perez and Rex Merrill will be featured the weekend of Nov. 6-8. Jose is displaying his carefully engraved glassware and glass pictures, and Rex (pictured below) will show off his multiple-exposure photographs. These two artists will be present with artist Frank Quinn Friday evening and with artist Jerry Aissis on Saturday and Sunday. The holiday season is almost here. Wouldn't an original piece of art make the perfect gift for that special someone?

Suzanne Schultz

Some wonderful painters from Boston, represented by Suzanne Schultz at canvasfinearts.com, will be on display this Halloween weekend, Oct. 30-Nov. 1. The artists include Judith Davis, Lorenzo  Geraci, Sherie Harkins, Dan McCole, Matt McKee, Regina Piantedosi, Mark Slater and Marnie Sinclair. Enjoy their work this weekend, along with the work of 7 other artists. As an added feature, Dolley Carlson's book "the Red Coat" (cover painted by Dan McCole) will be available for sale. A novel of Boston, it makes a perfect gift for the holidays!

Jose Perez & Angela Turner

The Guest Artists the weekend of Oct. 23-25 are glass artist Jose Perez (see the photo below of the "Fantastic Four" tumblers representing the four Boston sports teams) and abstract artist Angela Turner. Visit them and view the work of seven other local artists at the Gallery located across from Davio's Restaurant.

Ed Capeau & Amanda Sullivan

Ed Capeau was one of our Guest Artists for the weekend of October 16-18. He is shown below painting at the gallery. A premier portrait artist, his work can be seen online at fauxbycapeau.com.

Amanda Sullivan Oct. 9-11

Guest Artist Amanda Sullivan is returning for another weekend. The attached photo shows
her innovative, carefully constructed work of Edvard Munch's "Scream". She used up cycled CDs and other material related to sound to create this unique work. Drop by and view her other creative works along with those of the seven regular artists at the Gallery this weekend, Oct. 9-11.

Chrissy Kazmer

Patriot Place will feature on Friday, Sept. 25, a concert by Ed Sheerin, and on Sunday the 27th a return of the undefeated New England Patriots. On the same weekend, the Artists Studio & Gallery will again feature the original art of Chrissy Kazmer (see photo below) along with the regular seven artists that exhibit permanently. Feel free to visit the Gallery and enjoy their art.

Cumberland Art Alliance & Rex Merrill

The weekend of Sept. 18-20 will feature 4 artists from the Cumberland Artists Alliance plus an encore of the  photographs of Rex Merrill, as shown below. The Cumberland artists are Pearl Ferland, Germaine Krobath, Rachel Marzocchi and Barbara Testa. A terrific display of talent. View their art this weekend.

Rex Merrill & Dino

Guest Artists for the Sept. 11-13 will be photographer Rex Merrill and the Art of Dino (see photo below). The Gallery at Patriot Place features 7 "anchor artists" -- all local -- and the 2 "guest artists", also local. The Gallery is open Friday evening 5-9, Saturday 1-9 pm and Sunday 12-6. Labor Day Encore

Chrissy Kazmer and Katherine Honey will return as Guest Artists for the Labor Day weekend. Unless, you are stuck in traffic, c'mon by and view the work of these two artists. Chrissy is an innovative artist who works in different media, while Katherine paints more traditionally, with exquisite still lifes and landscapes. And,weather permitting, we may open on Monday too, 1-5 pm.

The art of Chrissy Kazmer and Katherine Honey will be featured the weekend of Aug. 28-30. Chrissy, an innovative artist (and also a graduate of  Foxborough High School), is shown below with some of her art. Katherine Honey, who is a veteran artist and enjoys painting outside the gallery, is also shown below. Please view these two women's art this weekend -- and those of the seven local artists who maintain the Art Gallery and Studio at Patriot Place.

Sasha Parfenova & Dino

This weekend one of the featured artists will be Sasha Parfenova (photo below) a recent graduate of both Tufts University AND the School of the Museum of Fine Art. She specializes in beautiful collages and installations which combine art with the natural environment. The other featured artist, Dino, is returning for another weekend at the Gallery, fresh from his month-long exhibition at the Zullo Gallery in Medfield. Please drop by and view their work, along with the other seven anchor artists whose work is also on display.

Brian Arrone & Martha Abeille

The weekend of August 7-9 will feature the paintings of Brian Arrone and the colorful prints of Martha Abeille, along with the exceptional works of seven other stand-out artists. There is enough wonderful art to please even the most discriminating critic. C'mon by. The Gallery is open Fridays 5-9, Saturdays 1-9, and Sundays noon to 6 pm.

The weekend of July 31-Aug. 2 will feature colored-pencil artist Martha Abeille and Dino. Both are doing encore performances. Martha specializes in Latin subjects and Dino uses fine-point markers to highlight environmental issues. See their works below.

Amanda Sullivan

The weekend of July 24-26 features the art of Amanda Sullivan. Come see her work. It's amazing and truly worth a visit! Traffic will probably be heavy late Friday and Saturday because Taylor Swift will also be appearing both nights. Maybe Taylor will also visit the Gallery and view Amanda's work?

Ann Gorbett & Polo Barrera this weekend at the Gallery

Anchor artists Polo Barrera and Ann Gorbett will be painting at the Gallery this weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Stop by and see Ann's palette knife technique and Polo's new "Gronk" greeting cards and prints.

Stacey David & Dino

The weekend of July 17-19 will feature as Guest Artists pastelist Stacey David and, back by popular demand, Dino, the environmental & symbolic artist. Some of the work by Stacey David can be seen below. Please drop by this weekend and view their work and that of  the 7 regular artists -- all local -- who have exhibited at there for years.

Margarita Krylova Guest Artist

For the weekend of July 10-12, our Guest Artist is Margarita Krylova, a talented young oil painter who loves to paint on large canvases. Her fabulous still life pictured below is actually 2 1/2 feet x 3 1/2 feet. Please come by and view her work and those of the other anchor artists.

Abeille & Bossardet Guesting

The 4th of  July weekend will display the works of local artists Martha Abeille and Sean Bossardet as our Guest Artists. Martha (pictured below) is known for her colored pencil renditions of important Latino cultural events. Sean, a recent graduate from art school, is exhibiting his symbolic works for the first time at the Gallery. It should be fun this weekend, with fireworks and lots of activities planned for Patriot Place. So while you are in the neighborhood, don't forget to visit the Gallery and view the works of all the wonderful artists displayed there.

Watercolor Classes

Jerry Aissis, noted watercolorist and teacher, is offering 4 weekly classes in watercolor at the Gallery starting Friday July 10 from 10 am to 12 noon. The cost is $100. Students should bring their own supplies, including 140 lb Arches paper for best results. You can sign up at the Gallery (when it's open on weekends) or e-mail Jerry at jerryaissis@yahoo.com.

Dianne Quigley & Katherine Honey

The two Guest Artists for the weekend of June 26-28 will be pastelist Dianne Quigley and artist Katherine Honey, who is returning for her second consecutive weekend. Please visit them and enjoy the work of all the others at the Artists Studio & Gallery at Patriot Place.

Abeille & Honey Will Be Guest Artists

Martha Abeille and Katherine Honey will be the Guest Artists the weekend of June 19-21. Martha is a Spanish Teacher at King Philip High School and a marvelous artist who specializes in colored pencil drawings of Latino culture. Katherine Honey, who is pictured below, is a veteran of our gallery, and paints colorful scenes in all media. Please stop by and enjoy their work and those of the other seven artists who maintain the gallery year-round.

Dan McCole & Holly Bruillette Guesting

The weekend of June 12-14 our guest artists will be the wonderful watercolorist Dan McCole and the young and talented sculptor and painter Holly Bruillette. Dan holds a degree in art but was forced to make a living in journalism. Now retired, he can spend his time making wonderful portraits and cityscapes in watercolor. He maintains a studio in South Boston. One of his paintings of former Red Sox all-star Kevin Youkilis is shown below. Our other guest artist this weekend will be Holly Bruillette, an experimental artist tuned into environmental issues.

Lipstick Artist This Weekend

Laura Osterweis, the "Lipstick Artist", will be exhibiting at the gallery this weekend -- June 4-6 -- along with her Mom, Betty "Betchen" Osterweis, who paints in watercolor, colored pencil, and is also a photographer. They are shown here.

Also guesting will be Dino, who is returning for the second straight weekend by popular demand. Shown here from last weekend is Dino, working on his mandala.

The Guest Artists featured at the Gallery the last weekend if May will be Dino, known for his famous detailed and imaginative paintings, and Chrissy Kazmer, an artist who features power, energy and allure in her artwork.
